Short version: I collect only what I need to reply to you and do the work. I do not sell your information to anyone, ever.
Only what you give me. That means:
I do not collect payment details on this site. If you become a client, payment is handled through a third-party processor and I never see or store your card information.
To reply to you. To do the work you have asked for. To send the letter if you asked for it. That is the whole list.
A small number of services that keep this business running:
Each of these has its own privacy policy. I do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, and I never will.
If you upload photographs of your space, they are used only to help me understand the room. I will not publish them, share them, or use them in any marketing without asking you first and getting a clear yes.
The work I create for you — concepts, layouts, palettes — is separate. I may show that as part of my portfolio, always without naming you or identifying your home. The full terms are on the Terms tab.
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within a year. Client records are kept for as long as I am legally required to keep them for tax purposes. You can be removed from the letter at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it entirely. Email hello@kerrbyameena.com and I will handle it.
This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes meaningfully, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
Short version: nothing is owed until after we have spoken. Paying the deposit is what starts the work, and it is non-refundable from that point.
Kerr is a virtual interior design consultancy operated by Ameena, based in Phoenix, Arizona. Services are delivered remotely, by video call, written documents and digital concept boards.
The work is furnishing and decorative direction. I do not carry out installation, project management, construction, or any physical work in your home.
You send an enquiry. I read it and reply within forty-eight hours. If it looks like a fit, we have a complimentary fifteen minute call to make sure. Nothing is booked and nothing is owed until after that call.
Prices for each service are published on the services page. Where a price says “from,” the final figure depends on the size and complexity of the room. You will have that figure in writing before anything is booked.
A fifty percent deposit is due before work begins. The balance is due on delivery of the final materials.
Paying the deposit is what starts the work. From that moment the deposit is non-refundable, because that is the point at which I begin: reading your questionnaire, studying your photographs, and starting on the room.
Nothing is owed before then. The enquiry is free, the fifteen minute call is free, and you decide after that call whether to go ahead. That is deliberate. It means nobody pays anything until we have both agreed this is a fit.
If you cancel partway through, you owe nothing further beyond the deposit already paid.
If I cancel for any reason, you get everything you have paid back in full.
Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed sessions without notice count as delivered.
Everything I produce for you — concepts, sourcing lists, layouts, written notes — is yours to use for your own home. Please do not resell it, republish it, or pass it on as a service to someone else.
Sourcing lists reflect what is available and what things cost at the time I write them. Prices change and pieces sell out. I cannot control either.
The work I deliver is furnishing and decorative direction. Concepts, palettes, materials, sourcing, and guidance on how furniture should be placed and scaled within a room.
Any layout or floor plan I provide is furnishing guidance only. It shows where furniture should sit and how it should be sized. It is not an architectural drawing, it is not to scale for construction purposes, and it must not be used for permits, contractor bids, or any building work.
I am not a licensed architect, contractor, structural engineer, or electrician. Nothing I provide is structural, electrical, plumbing, or building advice. Anything involving construction, wiring, plumbing, load-bearing walls, or permits needs a qualified licensed professional, and you should engage one directly.
You are responsible for purchasing everything yourself, for measuring before you buy, and for confirming that anything you order fits and functions in your space. I do not order on your behalf, hold inventory, arrange delivery, or install anything.
I bring judgement, experience and care to every project. What I cannot promise is a particular outcome, because how a room turns out depends on decisions, budgets and execution that happen after my part is finished.
I retain the right to show the work I create — concepts, mood boards, layouts, palettes and sourcing direction — as part of my portfolio, without ever naming you or identifying your home.
Photographs of your actual space are different. I will not publish those without asking you first and getting a clear yes.
Anything at all: hello@kerrbyameena.com.
Short version: this site sets almost no cookies, and none of them track you.
A small text file a website leaves on your device so it can remember something, like that you have visited before or what you typed into a form.
That is currently the whole list. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking across other websites, and no selling of data to anyone.
If I add analytics later, meaning anonymous numbers telling me which writing people actually read, this page will say so before it happens, and the date at the top will change.
Typefaces on this site load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request. No cookie is set by this, but your IP address is visible to Google as part of loading the font files.
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop forms working properly.
Email hello@kerrbyameena.com and I will answer honestly.
