About
I’m Ameena, based in Phoenix. Six spaces across two continents, and one expensive mistake, taught me how to do this.
Collected
Gathered over time, never bought in one trip. A room should look like it accumulated, because it did.
Intentional
Every piece has a reason it is there. If it cannot answer for itself, it does not stay.
Unexpected
One thing in every room that has no business working as well as it does. That is the part people remember.
I find the feeling a room is reaching for, then make every decision answer to it — the layout, the light, the palette, the one piece that changes everything. I know what is worth waiting for and what is worth paying for. I know when a room needs another layer and when it needs one thing removed.
In Wolof, my mother tongue, Kerr means home. That is the whole idea — not what a room should look like, but what kind of life it is supposed to hold.
The longer version — where the eye came from, the apartment where it clicked, and the home I got completely wrong.
