About

I help people build rooms that feel like their actual lives.

I’m Ameena, based in Phoenix. Six spaces across two continents, and one expensive mistake, taught me how to do this.

Collected

Gathered over time, never bought in one trip. A room should look like it accumulated, because it did.

Intentional

Every piece has a reason it is there. If it cannot answer for itself, it does not stay.

Unexpected

One thing in every room that has no business working as well as it does. That is the part people remember.

What I actually do

I find the feeling a room is reaching for, then make every decision answer to it — the layout, the light, the palette, the one piece that changes everything. I know what is worth waiting for and what is worth paying for. I know when a room needs another layer and when it needs one thing removed.

In Wolof, my mother tongue, Kerr means home. That is the whole idea — not what a room should look like, but what kind of life it is supposed to hold.

The longer version — where the eye came from, the apartment where it clicked, and the home I got completely wrong.

Before you reach out

How I work, plainly.

We will work well together if

  • You want a room that feels like your life, not like a catalogue page
  • You would rather wait six months for the right piece than fill a corner this weekend
  • You want to understand the reasoning, not just receive a shopping list
  • You are willing to let one thing in the room be a little strange

We probably will not if

  • You want your home to look like what is popular right now
  • You need the whole room finished by a fixed date
  • You want someone to make the choices without explaining them
  • You are looking for the cheapest version of everything

Ready to find the feeling?

Whether you are starting from scratch or refining what you already have — the conversation starts smaller than you think.
